Terms of Service
Last updated August 13, 2026
These Terms of Service govern your use of Frames at frames.game. By accessing or using Frames, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old and legally able to agree to these terms. If you use Frames on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind it to these terms.
The service
Frames is a film and television guessing game. It may provide random and daily rounds, filtered collections, scores, leaderboards, challenge links, public profiles, and AI-assisted research about completed titles. We may add, remove, limit, or change features and content at any time.
Accounts and public profiles
Frames creates an anonymous session so you can play without registering. You may optionally connect a Google account to preserve progress. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to it secure. Public usernames must not mislead, impersonate others, or be unlawful, abusive, or infringing. Approximate leaderboard locations are automatically inferred from the network request and may be inaccurate. Leaderboard scores and rankings may be recalculated or removed to correct errors or address abuse.
Acceptable use
You may not:
- Break the law, violate another person's rights, or misuse film imagery or other content.
- Cheat, manipulate scores, automate gameplay, evade limits, or interfere with other players.
- Scrape, bulk-download, copy, redistribute, or build a competing dataset from Frames or its image library.
- Probe, bypass, disable, or disrupt authentication, access controls, rate limits, or security measures.
- Upload or submit malicious code, abusive content, personal data you lack permission to share, or prompts intended to cause harm.
- Use Frames in a way that overloads, damages, or materially disrupts the service or its providers.
Research answers
Research answers are generated with third-party AI and search services. They may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or offensive and do not represent professional advice. Verify important facts with reliable sources. Do not submit confidential, sensitive, or personal information in research questions.
Content and intellectual property
Frames, its software, interface, branding, compilations, and original content are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the service for its intended purpose.
Film and television stills, titles, names, trademarks, and related material belong to their respective owners. Their appearance in Frames does not imply sponsorship or endorsement. You receive no right to extract or reuse that material outside normal gameplay. If you believe content on Frames infringes your rights, email dan@frames.game with enough detail for us to evaluate the request.
Third-party services and links
Frames relies on third-party services, including Google, Supabase, Vercel, and AI model providers. Their services and linked sites may have separate terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using Frames at any time. We may suspend or terminate access, remove public profile information, invalidate scores, or limit features if we reasonably believe you violated these terms, created risk, or used the service abusively. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
Disclaimers
Frames is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all express and implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Frames and its operators, contributors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, goodwill, or business interruption. Our total liability arising from Frames will not exceed the greater of US $100 or the amount you paid to use Frames during the 12 months before the claim. These limits do not apply where liability cannot legally be limited.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the service changes. We will revise the date above and provide additional notice when appropriate. Continued use after updated terms take effect means you accept them. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement about your use of Frames. Questions can be sent to dan@frames.game.
